Still more of Baby M’s Session!

Wow….still making my way through editing the last newborn session. He cooperated so well, that there were of ton of pictures to go through!

I wanted to share a few more. Now…. I did a maternity session for Baby M’s mom before she delivered him. I put an artistic spin on one of her photos, and turns out it was one she loved the most! She wanted to try to capture one of her newborn baby to match the maternity photo of her for the baby book. So…..here are those two pictures! Tell me what you think :)

I added a few more from his session as well! Almost done with them.

Newborn Baby M Photo Session

I have to say I have been very lucky to have had such wonderfully mellow newborns to photograph! The session I had yesterday, the little guy was such an angel! He slept so soundly, allowed us to pose him pretty much however we wanted, and also even took it upon himself to pose for us with out even being asked! What a sweet little peanut! I really love doing this…….

Here are a few sneaks for Mom and Dad. There will be more added over the next week as I am going through and editing all his pictures. I am very excited to add one today that I have studied up on and worked hard to achieve! I finally got “the pose”!  :)

Enjoy!

Longmont Newborn Photographer!

I am so very excited to be trying my hand at more newborn photography. I have spent the last few months preparing my indoor studio set up, and adding props and things to help me fulfill this new vision of what I want to create! I am pleased to say that the first newborn session I have had since all of  these recent upgrades, went awesome! I enjoyed every minute of it, and if I do say so myself…. I think the pictures turned out pretty good. I have another session on the books for this week, and I am looking forward to it!

My goal is to make newborn photography one of my specialties. So….. stay tuned!

I am offering ONLY 2 more discounted newborn sessions. ($100.00 includes session and a disk with all edited  final images) After these are booked Oak Tree Images newborn sessions will return to the regular price of $300.00. If you or someone you know wants to book their discounted session, I would do so now before they are snatched up! Session can take place anytime in the next 4 months. :)

Here are a few pictures from sweet baby Mason’s session with Oak Tree Images!

Awesome family sessions from the summer….

I absolutely loved being busy this summer with lots of great photography opportunities! I feel things slowing down now that the leaves are falling and the weather is sure to turn to snow anytime now. Although…. I must say that it is super fun to do an outdoor session playing in the snow!

I had several family picture sessions, and they were so much fun. All of them had one thing in common, small children with a mind of their own! I think my many years of doing childcare and working with young children helped me out big time! One family in particular I am very fond of! I have watched their daughter from when she was a mere 3 months old. She is in kindergarten now, but I still get to have her to my home on school breaks. My boys have grown up with her, and adore her just as much as I do! They have become a second family to us, and I know I will always be close to them. Hey…. maybe someday I will be taking pictures at her wedding! :)

Here are some of my favorites from these sessions.

Can I just say……I love this family!

I have had the joy of knowing this family for the past 3 years and was thrilled to help capture some wonderful images of their expanding family! What a wonderful time, and their new bundle of joy is just adorable! Now…. I have to say I am very partial to their oldest daughter that I had the pleasure of watching until she recently moved on to preschool. What a wonderful family and I have to say they are like extended family to us!

Love you guys, and might I say that you sure do make cute kiddos!

Senior Sessions of 2010

Late this summer and into fall, I had the pleasure to take high school senior portraits for 3 wonderful teens! Along with taking pictures of newborns, I really enjoy photographing teens!

I really enjoyed talking to the teens and finding out what interests them and what their plans for the future are. It was such a pleasure meeting the parents as well. And I look forward to doing more high school senior sessions next year! :)

Here are just a few of my favorites from these sessions.

Where has this year gone?

I have not been very good about keeping up with this blog since I launched my website www.oaktreeimages.com! But I am going to try to catch up on a few updates the next few days!

I am so incredibly grateful for all the support I have had from my firends and family this year while starting on this venture. It has been so exciting, but also very scary! I would love to say that I am a gal with a lot of self confidence, but I really get nervous from time to time wondering if I am getting in over my head. I love so much what I am doing, and have been getting great response from new clients and from friends and family. I try to take these little gems of compliments and try to remember them when I have those moments of doubt.

I was lucky to have the opportunity to exhibit my wildlife and portrait photography in the art walk this past September. Boy….was that a night to remember. It was amazing to have people admire my photographs, and even more amazing to have my friends and family stop in and cheer me on. One of the photographs I entered into the Art Through The Lens Contest even took 3rd place! Not bad for my first entry into a contest. Here is a photo of my venue via my cell phone camera. And then also a copy of my winning photograph. :)

Thank you to each and every one of you that believes in me. It helps me keep going forward in this little dream of mine. ♥

Wow… Long time, no posts!

Since I got my website up and running, I have not been updating my blog! I really will try to keep up with both. :)

It has been a slow start to my business. I have tried getting business cards around, and even invested a little bit of money to have postcards advertising my photography to next year high school seniors at Longmont High School. I have not received any business thus far from that $200.00 investment. :(

I am really hoping that I can get a little more business before winter sets in, and the photography season slows down a bit. I will have faith that this will work out for me someday!

By the way…. if you have not checked out the website lately, please do so! I am pretty proud of it. :)    www.oaktreeimages.com

Here are some recent photo’s I have done. Enjoy……
